a seguito della situazione globale dettata dal COVID-19 gli organizzatori con una breve nota in mattinata hanno posticipato uno tra i più grandi eventi per amanti di metal detecting al mondo, il DetectorWorld. A seguire la nota in Inglese che trovate a questo link: DetectorWorld

Siamo spiacenti di informarti che alla luce della recente situazione COVID-19, e dopo un’attenta valutazione, abbiamo deciso che Detectorworld non avrà luogo nel 2020. Sarà rinviato al 2021.

Sappiamo che questa è una decisione molto seria, quindi vorremmo spiegare cosa c’è alla base di questa scelta.

Ad oggi (24 marzo), tutti gli eventi nei Paesi Bassi fino al 1 giugno sono stati annullati. Successivamente, il governo deciderà se estendere questa politica di restrizioni. Detectorworld è un grande evento internazionale con visitatori ed espositori da tutto il mondo. Questo è il motivo per cui c’è un grande rischio per chi partecipa:

• Non abbiamo alcuna certezza su come si svilupperà la situazione con il coronavirus e su come sarà ad ottobre.

• Anche se la situazione dovesse migliorare, non sappiamo se saranno possibili eventi con così tante persone (provenienti da tutto il mondo) in un unico posto.

• Detectorworld richiede molta preparazione. Abbiamo un intero team che lavora da mesi per renderlo un grande evento. Ma non possiamo investire tutto questo lavoro se non sappiamo se l’evento avrà luogo.

• Non è solo molto lavoro per noi, ma anche Van der Valk deve investire molto tempo e lavorare alla preparazione.

• Naturalmente, tutti gli espositori devono pianificare e prepararsi per l’evento, farlo è molto difficile in questo momento con tutto quello che sta succedendo.

• Detectorworld è un grande investimento finanziario per noi e se non fosse consentito all’ultimo minuto, non saremmo in grado di annullare molti degli investimenti.

Poiché l’intera situazione è così incerta in questo momento, e per tutte le ragioni di cui sopra, abbiamo deciso di rimandare l’evento al 2021. Annunceremo la nuova data il prima possibile.

Importante per tutti coloro che hanno già acquistato un biglietto: ovviamente, riceverete un rimborso.

We regret to inform you that in light of the recent COVID-19 situation, and after thorough consideration, we have decided that Detectorworld will not take place in 2020. It will be postponed to 2021.

We know this is a very serious decision, so we would like to explain our reasoning behind it.

At this point (24th of March), all events in the Netherlands until the 1st of June are cancelled. After that, the government will decide whether to extend this policy. Detectorworld is a massive, international event with visitors and exhibitors from all over the world. That is why this presents a great risk to us for several reasons:

• We have no certainty on how the situation with the coronavirus will develop and how it will be in October.

• Even if the situation gets better, we don’t know if events with so many people (from all over the world) in one place will be possible.

• Detectorworld requires a lot of preparation. We have a whole team that works for months to make it a great event. But we cannot invest all this work if we don’t know if the event will even take place.

• It is not only a lot of work for us, but Van der Valk has to invest a lot of time and work into the preparations.

• And of course, all the exhibitors need to plan and prepare for the event, which is very difficult right now with all that is going on.

• Detectorworld is a big financial investment for us, and if it is not allowed to take place at the last minute, we would not be able to cancel a lot of the investments.

Because the whole situation is so uncertain right now, and for all the reasons above, we have decided to postpone the event to 2021. We will announce the new date as soon as we can.

Important for all of you that bought a ticket already: Of course, you will get your payments back.
